“Sometimes I look around and just think… WOW.🙏🏾😭❤️

A humble little girl, born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, could never have imagined the journey that would lead her here.

There have been challenges. There have been tears. There have been closed doors, unexpected turns, lessons, losses, victories, and moments when I simply had to keep walking by faith.

And somehow, through it all, we created something beautiful. 🧩🌟

A learning center.

A safe haven for children.
A place where families can find support.
A place where children are seen, loved, respected, challenged, and encouraged.
A place where we work every day to turn HOPE into OPPORTUNITY. ❤️

I am so incredibly grateful for this journey and for every person who has been a part of it.

To those who have stayed with us through the years—thank you.
To those who supported us for only a season—thank you.
And even to those whose paths eventually went in a different direction—thank you.

No matter where you are today or how much of this journey you traveled with me, please know that I am grateful for you. Every family, student, teacher, friend, supporter, prayer, encouraging word, referral, donation, partnership, and lesson helped shape this story.

This little girl from the South Side of Chicago had a dream to educate children with love.

And today, I get to walk into that dream. 🥹🦉❤️

She came to us in 2021, at the height of COVID, with very few spoken words and limited ways to express her wants and needs.

But we never confused her inability to communicate with an inability to learn.
She communicates through speech, through writing, and even through a makeshift tattoo she designed on her arm—just like Miss Jennifer’s—to express what she needs.

I want you to remember:

Never limit a child because they learn or communicate differently.

Respect their dignity. Challenge their intellect. Educate them with love.

Then watch them prosper. 🧩❤️🌟

What a beautiful way to begin a new school year! 🧡💚

Our MCS Fall Orientation was a SUCCESS! Families had the opportunity to tour our new facility, complete fall registration, connect with our team and spend time together as we prepare for another year of learning, growth and community. 📚✨

And can we talk about our MCS families?! 🥹 So many came through with donations to help stock our new space for the school year. From classroom necessities to snacks, water and everyday supplies ❤️ THANK YOU. Your generosity and support mean more than you know.

MCS has never been about simply creating a classroom.

It’s about creating a community where students are known, families are supported and education is built around the child. 🫶🏽
