The Bypass at McKeel Academy

The BYPASS has a fresh look this year that creates an atmosphere more like home! Students can sit on the couch, take a seat at the high top tables or bar area, or choose a regular seat at a standard table. Our students are loving the vibe!

Thank you to all those that donated dishes, utensils, snacks, ornaments and even a tree to the BYPASS to make it feel like home to our kids. With the background music softly playing, a roaring fireplace or snow scenery playing on the smart board and the smell of cookies in the air, many kids have said they could live in the BYPASS. Hundreds of kids pass through the BYPASS for testing or tutoring every week, so it’s nice to know they all enjoy the atmosphere. It’s all about our kids!

Welcome to a new year in the BYPASS!!! I just finished setting up our room and looking forward to working with all your kids. I will be sending out a digital copy of the BYPASS contracts to everyone on the list from last year this coming week. Your child may also stop by and pick one up. New contracts must be completed each year before a student is allowed to attend the BYPASS in the mornings and afternoons. Oh! If you have any hubcaps or colorful license plate tags I would love to have them. Take care! Mr. Stanley

Reminder!!! Please encourage your son/daughter to have every assignment submitted this week that is due. Don’t count on teachers taking late work as we wrap up the year over the next two weeks. Don’t count on retakes. Study the first time and knock it out of the ball park!!! The BYPASS is open every morning like always and then again Tues/Thurs afternoons till 3:45. If you need help please let us know!!! 😄

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!!! This coming week we celebrate our teachers and all that they do for our kids. Don’t forget your middle and high school teachers...a positive email or card goes a long way!!!

Who would think so many students would show up early to school to study and get extra help!!! What a great place to plan, do homework, or work with a tutor.

FYI: There will be no BYPASS tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, 12/20/18. Have a wonderful Christmas break!!! I can’t believe we are half way through the year already!!!

We only have seven days left to get all assignments turned in before leaving for winter break! The BYPASS is a great place to get help, sit to study, or just do homework. A great big thank you to the Walsh family for donating the leather couch! The kids love it!!! Thanks to the Crowley family for the coffee table that I painted! The Crawford family for the Christmas tree, and Fagan family for another chair. Lowe’s donated $25 towards the BYPASS too. Mr. Stanley purchased the large carpets to bring it all together! We are trying to create a comfortable learning environment for every child! Enjoy your day!

Hey Parents,
Do you have an old license plate lying around your garage? We’d love to have it to hang on our wall in the BYPASS. You can send it with your child or drop it off in the front office. We can also use car parts. So far, we have a head light, a front grill, some hub caps, a radio, and some kind of motor part. 😁Thank you!

We are so happy to welcome Mrs Fahlgren to our BYPASS staff! She is already a huge help with our ESL students! We are excited to have her!
