Recently the Professional Development Department welcomed some Campus Induction Coordinators to JMPDC for a day of learning. They explored how to support their new and novice teachers on their campuses around PCPS. Thank you to all of our CICs around the district who are supporting our new teachers and helping them grow their teaching practices!

The Professional Development Department recently hosted an engaging, empowering, and entertaining Spring Intern Seminar for interns completing their final internships with PCPS. The interns participated in collaborative sessions, facilitated by the Professional Development, Exceptional Student Services, and Recruitment and Teacher Engagement departments, on Exceptional Student Education Strategies for All Classrooms, Incorporating Collaborative Structures in the Classroom, Ethics in Education, and Getting Hired in Polk County Public Schools. The interns completed the day feeling excited about incorporating their learning with their students. We are excited to see their continued development in the field of education.
