Lakeland Institute for Learning To provide a relevant and rigorous education to ESE or those searching for a small group environment. This is a different venue for this population.

The Lakeland Institute for Learning is a school whose purpose is to deliver a rigorous full curriculum education for students who need language services in order to fulfill their educational futures and become all they aspire to be. These students fall into two areas: special needs and those who are English Language Learners (as defined by law). The school will deliver clinical services to student

s within their school day, within a rigorous educational environment in order to facilitate students' academic growth. The main thrust of services will revolve around speech/language to maximize students' growth, not only in speech but in both expressive and receptive vocabularies to promote comprehension; however, other services such as occupational and art therapy will also be available. Since this clinical model meets students’ physical or emotional needs, teachers are presented the opportunity to step up and apply more rigorous learning. In addition, career academies in both Culinary Arts and Technology will be offered to middle school students. As the school moves forward, we will be developing a career - focused mindset and project - based learning for the different grade levels and functioning abilities based on the students’ talents and the needs of the community’s work force. We are educators and we care that students learn!

At Lakeland Institute for Learning, our mission has always been to create a place where every student is valued, supported, and given the opportunity to grow in their own unique way. Seeing that mission recognized and shared with a broader community means more than we can express.

Graduation is about more than walking across a stage. It is about the lives, memories, friendships, and impact left behind along the way.

We want to take a moment to remember Cameron Bell as a member of the LIfL Class of 2026. His family will be presented with an honorary diploma, a school portrait, and a graduation jar filled with messages of love and memories from our students and staff.

Cameron’s memory will forever remain a part of our school community.

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to kick off Spring Break? Join us for Spring Career Camp, happening March 16–18 from 9:00 AM–4:30 PM at 2020 Crystal Grove Dr.

During this FREE 3-day camp, students will explore exciting career paths and postsecondary opportunities through engaging activities, hands-on learning, and interactive discussions. It’s the perfect chance to discover interests, learn about future possibilities, and build confidence for life after high school.

Our camp is designed to be fun, supportive, and safe, giving students the opportunity to learn in a secure environment while connecting with peers and mentors.
