Our ag tech classes had an incredible opportunity this week to learn about welding safety, machine set up, and began to put the learned skills to practice. Jordan Cox, a former instructor with Traviss Tech, brought his insights and experiences which helped to set our students for safer practices in the shop.

Chloe Lanier- placed 1st in class with her doe Frappe

Chloe Warren- placed 1st in class with her doe Willow

Jaz Duque, Andrea Rodriguez represented our chapter well in the market goat division.

Kalei Cook raised a Grand Champion Bantam Female over the course of the year, bringing home her first banner for her first poultry SAE.

Results from our recent county/ districts CDE contests:

GJHS Forestry team for placing 1st at districts! They will be competing in the state forestry contest November 6th. Wishing them the best of luck! Forestry is pictured in the post.

Overall Individual Placings in the county:
Kacie Anderson- 1st overall
Logan Tracey- 2nd overall
Davis Kimler- 4th overall
Owen Benner- 7th overall

Citrus CDE team qualified for the state contest.

Our third member meeting in October recap: our officer team created a small fall festival for our members, bringing out togetherness and competitive spirits. Our members also decorated pumpkins that we donated to a local assisted living community as fall decor.
