Yesterday’s Renaissance Pep Rally was BIG FUN! Students learned what it takes to earn Renaissance recognition while dancing, cheering, and celebrating with the Lake Gibson Band, Drumline, and Cheer Squad! 🥁📣🎶

Students also took on exciting Minute to Win It challenges for prizes, and Dean Walton made sure students AND staff stayed engaged, energized, and having a blast! 🙌🏽

Our young investigators worked collaboratively to examine the evidence, share their theories, and solve the mystery! 🔍

This is just one of the thrilling, hands-on adventures students experience during our Media Exploratory Wheel with our amazing Media Specialist, Dr. Hedrick!

Ms. Berrien leads North Lakeland Elementary with incredible kindness, grace, strength, and unwavering dedication. She generously gives her time, talents, and heart to support our students, staff, families, and community each and every day. Her leadership, compassion, and commitment to our Navigators help make NLE a special place to learn, grow, and succeed.

🏠✨ HOUSE REVEAL DAY AT NLE! ✨🏠

Today was an exciting day at North Lakeland Elementary as we officially welcomed our students into the NLE House System! 💙💚💛💜

Teachers introduced students to what it means to be part of a House—building community, leadership, positive character, school spirit, and a sense of belonging. Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for… THE REVEAL! 🎉

Students scratched their special sticker to discover which House they will call home:

💙 VISION — Lead the Way.
💚 MOMENTUM — Keep Moving Forward.
💛 INNOVATION — Think Bold. Create Change.
💜 LEGACY — Leave Your Mark.

The excitement throughout our campus was contagious as students celebrated becoming members of one of our four communities!

Now the journey begins! Our students will earn points, demonstrate leadership, encourage their Housemates, and compete throughout the year—all while remembering that although we are FOUR HOUSES, we are ONE NLE FAMILY! 🐊🧭💙💚💛💜

🎉💙💚 FIRST DAY FUN AT NORTH LAKELAND! 💚💙🎉

What an AMAZING first day of school at North Lakeland Elementary! Our campus was filled with excitement, energy, and SO many smiling faces as our Navigators officially began their journey Beyond the Bayou! 🧭🐊

And the smiles got even BIGGER when one of our favorite visitors stopped by — Polk County Public Schools Superintendent Mr. Fred Heid! Our students were excited to see him pop into their classrooms, and judging by those smiling faces 😊😊😊, we think the feeling was mutual! Even our staff couldn’t resist getting in on the excitement of seeing our fearless leader on Day One!

Thank you, Mr. Heid, for taking time to visit our Navigators and help make our first day extra special.

Day 1 is officially in the books, and North Lakeland is already headed BEYOND THE BAYOU! 🌿🧭🐊
