🇺🇸 GFC Christian Co-op Update 🇺🇸

Hi everyone! I wanted to share an update on GFC Christian Co-op.

First, thank you to everyone who has shown interest, completed surveys, shared posts, and encouraged this vision. I have been incredibly blessed by the support and excitement from local homeschool families.
After spending time reaching out to churches and exploring possible locations, I have not yet been able to secure a facility that would allow us to move forward with the original drop-off co-op model.
Rather than putting everything on hold, I am prayerfully considering a new direction and would love your feedback.

What if GFC became a FREE Christian homeschool community focused on building friendships, fellowship, and memorable experiences for like-minded families?

The vision would include:

🇺🇸 Holiday parties and celebrations
✝️ Christian fellowship and encouragement
🎨 Enrichment days and special activities
🏃 End-of-year fun packed Field Day and family events 
🚌 Field trips and outings
🤝 Opportunities for both parents and children to build lasting friendships

This would be geared toward Christian homeschool families who value faith, family, and traditional values and are looking to connect with other like-minded families in our area.
Parents would stay and participate with their children. Drop-off may be permitted for ages 13+ at certain events unless otherwise stated.
There would be no tuition. Events would be organized with the help of participating families as our community grows.

Thank you all for your prayers and support as I seek God's direction for GFC. I truly believe there is a need for a strong traditional Christian homeschool community here in Polk County, and I'm excited to see where the Lord leads!

We’re excited to share that interest in GFC Christian Co-op continues to grow, and things are moving forward!
As we take the next step, we are currently looking for a church to host our co-op for our 2-day program (Monday & Wednesday).
If you have a church connection or know of a church that may be open to partnering with a Christ centered homeschool co-op, please reach out, we would love to connect!

The Lord has placed a vision on my heart to create a homeschool community where children can both learn and worship - growing academically while staying rooted in God’s Word.
Our goal at GFC Christian Co-op is to build a place where:
✝️ Christ is honored in every subject
📖 We stay true to the Bible and live according to God’s Word
🇺🇸 Children learn America’s history, the Constitution, and the foundations of our nation
🇺🇸 Traditional values are respected and upheld
📚 Core academics are taught with excellence
🍳🪚🩰🏀Enrichment classes help students grow in confidence and character

This would be a K–12, 2-day (Mon/Wed) drop-off homeschool co-op in Lakeland, meeting at a local church (location TBD).
We are still in the interest-gathering stage and praying about next steps.

Core Academics may include: Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Bible.
Electives may include:�Art, Music, Cooking, Fitness, Gardening, Finance (8th & up), Gun Safety (age appropriate), Leadership & Public Speaking, and American History/Civics projects (electives may vary depending on teacher availability).
