Polk County's graduation rate has climbed to 75.4 percent -- the highest level in a decade. Mulberry and Tenoroc high schools did especially well last year in bringing up their grad rates.

Polk County Public Schools will be able to proceed with our reopening plans tomorrow.

Monday, Sept. 18, will be a teacher work day. Teachers, school-based administrators, district staff, and all others who normally work on teacher work days should report as usual.

Students and paraeducators will return on Tuesday, Sept. 19. School buses will be running on Tuesday.

We appreciate the community's support following Hurricane Irma, and look forward to reopening our doors and welcoming our students back to school. Thank you again for your patience and understanding during this past week.
