🍁🎶 Fall Fun at The Heathers! 🍂❤️

Our Kangaroos had a wonderful visit to The Heathers today! 🦘💕 Our little performers spread some fall cheer as they sang their favorite autumn songs and visited residents at both houses! 🎵🍃

We love seeing the smiles, laughter, and special connections these visits bring! 🥰 It’s such a beautiful opportunity for our students to learn about kindness, compassion, and the joy of giving back to our community.

Thank you to The Heathers for always welcoming our Kangaroos with open arms! 🧡🍁

🍁🍂 Falling Into Learning! 🍂🍁

We had another wonderful visit from McSeep! Our little learners explored the magic of fall and discovered why leaves change colors as the seasons change! 🍃🍁

After learning about all the beautiful colors of autumn, our students got creative with a fun leaf rubbing activity! 🎨 They loved seeing the different shapes, textures, and patterns of leaves come to life on their paper!

We love hands-on learning experiences that bring science, nature, and creativity together! 🧡🍂

🍎🍂 Fall Fun in the Parrots Classroom! 🍂🍎

Our Parrots had a sweet time getting creative with a caramel apple craft! 🍏 They practiced their fine motor skills, explored different textures, and added their own special touches to their delicious-looking creations.

We love celebrating the sights, colors, and fun of fall through hands-on learning! 🍁✨

🍂🦜 Fall Fun in the Parrots Classroom! 🦜🍂

Our Parrots have had a wonderful kickoff to fall! From stretching, moving, and finding their calm during our Yoga enrichment 🧘‍♀️, to learning all about the busy world of bees with McSeep 🐝, there has been so much learning and fun happening in our classroom!

And of course, we’ve been taking advantage of the beautiful fall weather with plenty of time outside to play, explore, and enjoy the fresh air! 🍁☀️

We can’t wait to see what else this season has in store for our Parrots! 💛

📚✏️ Supporting Teachers & Students! 🍎💛

We were so happy to welcome Ms. D as she stopped by to pick up our school supply donations for her 1st grade classroom at Morton School of Excellence!

This tradition is especially meaningful to us because The Goddard School has been donating supplies to Ms. D and her students for over 10 years! 🥰

We are incredibly grateful to our Goddard families and community for helping us continue this tradition year after year. Knowing these supplies are heading into a classroom where they will help students learn, create, and grow makes it all the more special.

Here’s to another wonderful school year for Ms. D and her amazing first graders! 📓🖍️✂️❤️

💛 Happy Grandparents Day! 💛

Today we had the sweetest time celebrating some very special people—our Goddard grandparents! 👵👴

Our students loved welcoming their grandparents into their classrooms, showing them around, and spending some special time together. There is truly nothing like the love, wisdom, and joy that grandparents bring into a child’s life.

Thank you to all of our wonderful grandparents who joined us today and helped make the celebration so memorable! We loved having you at The Goddard School – Lake in the Hills! 💕🍎

Our Kangaroos had such a wonderful time visiting our friends at The Heathers! 🥰 We always look forward to these special visits and love seeing the smiles, conversations, and connections shared between our students and the residents.

These experiences are such a meaningful way for our children to practice kindness, build relationships, and bring a little extra joy to our community. 💕 Thank you to The Heathers for always welcoming our Kangaroos with open arms—we can’t wait for our next visit! 🦘✨

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
