When Sydney Sargis first discovered Steve & Kate's Camp, she fell in love with its philosophy - empowering kids to follow their interests and design their own days. 💛

She started as a substitute counselor in 2017, jumping into any camp she could. Over the years, her passion and dedication led her from Breadmaking Studio leader to assistant director - and today, she's the director of the Chicago-North Center.

It's a journey filled with growth, purpose, and joy - and one she wouldn't change for the world. 🌟🪴

🍎 Kellie Laorenza, more than two decades in, remains inspired by every classroom, every child, and every connection that has shaped her along the way.

This week, we celebrated the incredible women in our children’s lives during our “The Woman in My Life” Tea Party on Friday, May 8th, and our hearts are still so full from all the love, laughter, smiles, and special memories shared together. ☕🌸

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the morning so meaningful. Watching our children celebrate the important women in their lives was truly priceless. We are so grateful for the love, support, and care you pour into your little ones every single day.

💛 Our teachers are the heart of our center—bringing love, learning, and inspiration into every classroom.
💛 They nurture curiosity, build confidence, and create lasting connections with our children and families.

Throughout the month, families, our admin team, and our Better Together group will come together to show appreciation in fun and creative ways—from notes of gratitude and themed days to treats, celebrations, and dress-up fun!

Artsy Thursday at Bright Horizons Military Trail

Yesterday, our classrooms were filled with creativity, color, and imagination during Artsy Thursday! Our children explored a variety of art materials and techniques, expressing themselves in such unique and meaningful ways. From painting and crafting to hands-on sensory art experiences, every masterpiece reflected their creativity and joy.

At Bright Horizons, we believe that art is more than just creating—it’s a way for children to build confidence, develop fine motor skills, and share their ideas with the world.

We are so proud of our little artists and the beautiful work they created!

✨ Our New Playground Is a Hit! ✨

The smiles say it all! Our children are absolutely loving the new playground and all the exciting opportunities it brings for movement, exploration, and outdoor fun. From climbing and sliding to imaginative play with friends, it has quickly become a favorite part of their day. 🌞🛝

And it’s not just the children… some of our teachers are enjoying it just as much! Watching the joy, laughter, and teamwork happening outside reminds us how important play is for learning and development.
