We are excited to expand on the success of our SYAP, by offering Advanced Visual Arts Workshops for Summer 2017: 2 week full-day programs designed to prepare student artists for entry exams and portfolio reviews for Dreyfoos School of the Arts and BAK!
The Summer Youth Arts Program at Palm Beach State College - Lake Worth Campus was initiated seven years ago to offer local young artists an opportunity to enhance and enrich their Visual Art skills. Focusing on student artists ages 7-14, in a series of full day weeklong workshops, students focus on developing basic drawing and painting skills as well as mixed media and 3-D work. Foundation concepts including understanding value, shape and form, light and shade, proportion and perspective are featured. Drawing from observation is practiced and student artists are introduced to color theory and art materials and applications. We are excited to expand on the success of our program, by offering Advanced Visual Arts Workshops for Summer 2017. These two-week full day programs are designed to prepare student artists for entry exams and portfolio reviews for Dreyfoos School of the Arts and BAK Middle School of the Arts.
