What an electrifying and unforgettable meeting we had, brilliantly led by Toastmaster Florence. The energy in the room was undeniable. We enjoyed two dynamic speeches, both weaving in themes of technology, and each one showcasing remarkable growth, confidence, and personal development. This is exactly what Toastmasters is all about, leveling up as speakers and as people.

Our Table Topics session kept the momentum going with the theme “I will always…”, sparking heartfelt, funny, and thoughtful responses about Mother’s Day, the Toastmasters Conference, and our Countries of origin. The creativity was flowing.

A huge round of applause for Oliver, who completed Level 1 of his Dynamic Leadership Pathway, and an equally big celebration for James, who achieved Levels 2 and 3 in his Innovative Planning Pathway. These milestones are no small feat, your dedication shines.

Thank you all for bringing your energy, your voices, and your presence. Meetings like this happen because you show up.

Storytelling has been an essential form of communication throughout human history. Stories have been shared aloud and passed down from generation to generation in every civilization around the world. The importance of knowing how to tell a good, engaging story cannot be overstated.
Last October, Bibi, one of our active members, demonstrated the power of storytelling in her speech titled "A Day in the Life." In her presentation, she captivated the audience with the story of Ruby, a personified hummingbird species that migrates south to Mexico or Central America for the winter and north to the United States and Canada in the spring.
Come to our club and enjoy more stories like this.

Why should you become a Toastmaster?
You should become a Toastmaster because:
• You can become more confident speaking in front of an audience as you define yourself as a leader.
• You get to express yourself as you accomplish your goals.
• You get to help others develop their communication and leadership skills while you continue to develop your own skills.
• You get to use the skills you gain to advance your career and your personal life.
• You get to feel like you're a part of something big, something that helps you to create the life that you want and deserve.

The last meeting was an immersive public speaking practice with all notabilia around in all presentations. Sonia explored her communication style with a speech titled “One voice, many hats.” During the table topics section, we had:

· Cindy shared about her refrigerator full of fruits and vegetables, indicating her readiness to dine at a vegetarian restaurant.

· Mike recounted his visit to a fortune teller and expressed his intention to return to the same lady who predicted his happy marriage.

· Bibi recounted her experience at the international speech contest and discussed how she tackles public speaking within the Toastmasters group.

· James shared his experiences as a bachelor, acknowledging traditional practices in such situations but expressing dissatisfaction with his involvement in these types of parties.

· Sonia also shared ideas about the awkwardness of attending a therapy session with a psychiatrist whom she considers a "professional stranger," who listens to one's most intimate thoughts.

What do we have on the agenda for this week? Come and visit us!
