We would like to introduce our incoming Business Administration majors to Dr. Verna Omanwa!
Dr. Omanwa serves Warner University as a Professor of Business and Finance and Chair of the Business Administration Department. She has been with Warner since August 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from Warner University, as well as a Doctor of Business Administration from Argosy University. She is also a Certified Financial Planner professional and has published articles in several academic journals, including The Atlantic Marketing Journal, The Global and Management Research Journal, and The International Journal of Marketing Studies.
Dr. Omanwa has also helped the Business Administration Department build meaningful relationships within the local community through its partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Through this partnership, senior business students work with local businesses throughout the semester, conducting research, identifying business needs, and developing strategic plans. Students present their findings and recommendations to business owners and provide them with a comprehensive written report.
Through her dedication to her students and the local business community, Dr. Omanwa continues to provide Warner students with meaningful opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world situations. Her commitment to teaching, mentorship, and community engagement reflects the lasting impact she has made on Warner University and its students.
