A POS system. Inventory management. Employee management. Loyalty programs. Multiple subscriptions adding up every month.

The goal? Build one integrated system that brings it all together so when inventory comes in, you can manage and recover value across every channel.

💡 Sometimes the smartest way to cut costs isn’t negotiating better prices. It’s eliminating unnecessary subscriptions.

🎥 Watch this to see how BidSmooth is tackling the problem.

A bigger building is easy to get excited about.

Feeding it every week is the hard part.

More square footage means more inventory, more labor, more overhead, and more pressure to keep merchandise moving. If your supply chain cannot support the operation consistently, that big store becomes a big problem.

Build dependable supply first. Expand second.

18 employees. Rising labor costs. And around $100K a month just to keep the doors open.

That number wasn’t optional. It had to be hit every single month whether business was good or slow.

💡 Sometimes the biggest business risk isn’t what you buy. It’s what it costs to stay open.

Inventory is flowing again.

Some suppliers that were giving us one or two truckloads a month are now offering around five loads a week.

Good problem to have.

But more trucks also means more chances to make a stupid buy if you stop checking pallet fill, merchandise quality, unit cost, and where the product is actually going to sell.
Availability is not profitability.

TikTok does not magically turn bad inventory into good inventory.

But it is another selling channel, and liquidation operators should understand what works there.

We are testing products, running live sales, watching what moves, and cutting inventory that does not perform. That is the part people miss.

The channel matters, but the merchandise still has to make sense.

Join us live on Liquidation Motivation as Tom sits down with Jon from the Flippin Ain’t Easy YouTube channel, a Las Vegas-based reseller with more than 20 years of experience buying and selling inventory.

This episode is all about ASD Market Week and why online resellers should be paying attention.

Jon has spent the last six years reselling full-time on eBay and other online marketplaces, while documenting both his successes and failures on Flippin Ain’t Easy. Being based in Las Vegas also gives him a unique perspective on one of the biggest sourcing events in the country.

We'll talk about:

Why eBay and online resellers should consider attending ASD
Finding new products and suppliers on the show floor
How to evaluate whether a wholesale product actually has resale potential
 Wholesale inventory vs. liquidation inventory
 Building relationships with suppliers face-to-face
Minimum orders, margins, and questions to ask before buying
Networking with other resellers and industry professionals
How to prepare before ASD so you don't waste your time walking the floor
How to turn a trip to ASD into opportunities that can grow your resale business

If you're an eBay seller, online reseller, liquidation buyer, bin store owner, or anyone looking for new ways to source profitable inventory, this is an episode you don't want to miss.

Whether you're already headed to Las Vegas for ASD Market Week or still wondering if the show is worth attending, Jon will give us a reseller's perspective on how to make the most of the opportunity.

Sometimes a liquidation load surprises you—in a GOOD way. 👀🔥

A customer ordered a tool and hardware load, but when the manifest came in, it had way more tools than expected. 🛠️

He grabbed the load quickly and shipped it out.

Then the customer called… freaking out. 😳📞

Was it a bad load—or an unexpected home run?

This business still runs on relationships.

One person may have the inventory you need. Another may need somebody to take extra truckloads. Somebody else may have the selling channel your merchandise actually belongs on.

That is why I keep telling operators to get out and meet people.

You cannot build every relationship from behind a computer.
