📣 2026-2027 SCHEDULE AND BIG NEWS FROM MIDWEST YOUTH RODEO ASSOCIATION 📣
With the upcoming rodeo season quickly approaching, we want to take a moment to share some important changes moving forward.
After careful consideration, Midwest Youth Rodeo Association has made the decision to resign from the NLBRA franchise program.
This was not a decision we made lightly. However, given the current state of the board and the decisions being made that we feel specifically target certain franchises and contestants, we believe withdrawing is in the best interest of our contestants, personnel, and families.
Over time, we have become increasingly concerned with the lack of transparency, increased fees, inconsistent regulations, decisions that appear to favor specific agendas, lack of consideration for contestants, attempts to silence members, and what we feel has been unfair treatment of contestants based on the events they choose to participate in. These are issues we can no longer comfortably support or tolerate.
⭐ A NEW FORMAT FOR MIDWEST YOUTH RODEO ASSOCIATION ⭐
Moving forward, we will be implementing a division format for our rodeos. Our goal is simple: create a rodeo association that is more inclusive, affordable, competitive, and welcoming to every kid who wants to rodeo.
Whether your child is a seasoned competitor or stepping into the arena for the very first time, there will be a place for them here. ❤️
With no membership fees, sponsorship fees, or Little Britches franchise fees, we will be able to put more money back into the contestants through larger payouts at each rodeo.
And we want to reward those who commit to the entire season! 🏆
Any youth contestant who competes in 10 of our 12 rodeos throughout the season will receive a custom jacket. 4 and under contestants will also receive a buckle. All around will be awarded a saddle for each youth division.
🔥 NEW OPEN DIVISION 🔥
We are also excited to announce the addition of an Open Division!
Youth contestants will have the opportunity to compete in their regular age division AND the Open Division. This gives contestants who want additional competition another opportunity to enter, compete, and earn a payout.
The Open Division will add another level of competition to our rodeos while still allowing every youth contestant to compete within their appropriate age division. Whether you’re still developing your skills or ready to challenge yourself against the field, you choose the opportunities that are right for you.
Our hope is to get back to what youth rodeo should be — a fun, family-oriented, supportive community where kids cheer each other on, families enjoy being together, and everyone has an opportunity to succeed.
This is a new chapter for Midwest Youth Rodeo Association, and we want you to be part of building it with us.
