(’59) and Janet (nee. Kresse; ’61). I have been a homeowner and resident of Lake View since 2009. My wife, Shannon, is a Blasdell Elementary Special Education Teacher. We have three boys: Brennen (college senior: St. John Fisher - Education), Evan (college sophomore: Cornell University - Industrial Labor Relations), and Liam (FCSD HS sophomore). I am a strong believer in a well-rounded education that includes a combination of academics, music, athletics, community involvement and the arts. Since moving to Lake View, I have been active in the community. I spent nine years coaching football at Hamburg Little Loop, six years coaching baseball at both Lake Shore Little League and Lake View, and was a founding director of the Frontier Black & Blue Booster Club (FB3C) where I left as president to run for my first term on the FCSD School Board. I have a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University and am currently the Director of Sales Operations for Allen-Bailey Tag & Label where I oversee the sales, customer service, IT, and marketing departments for the past 10 years. I initially ran for the Board with the belief that it was “Time4Change!” Davis Podkulski and I believed that we could accomplish even more with a shift in philosophy on the school board’s governance and the board’s relationship with its stakeholders. Maximizing opportunities for students to learn and grow must be the focus and measuring stick for school board activity. We ran with the belief that we must “ACT” now where “A” stood for Advocacy, “C” stood for Collaboration and “T” stood for Transparency. I am running for re-election with the hope of finishing what I started. I am not done advocating for what additional changes are needed. I do believe that we have been successful in creating a culture of collaboration and communication and have successfully increased Board transparency by deploying our video system that records and broadcasts our meetings. I would be honored to serve another term as your School Board member and humbly ask for your support on May 16th at the Frontier Educational Center (7-9pm).
