Little Gumdrops Home Childcare and Preschool I welcome you into my home with open arms! My goal is to offer a fun, safe, structured and loving learning environment.

At Little Gumdrops, we combine Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies to create an engaging, child-centered environment where curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning flourish. I would like to feel I am an extension of your family while you are away from your child/children. By offering a combination of a well rounded preschool program and supervised free play I believe children flourish

in all aspects of their development. Children will experience the freedom to be themselves and grow at their own pace. They will be encouraged to be proud of their unique qualities and will be shown unconditional love and care. Given guidance and understanding and they will have the opportunity to explore their world in a safe and controlled environment. I am certified in first aid, adult, child and infant CPR, HIV/AIDS, Blood Borne Pathogens, a 20 hours Merit approved training course-Building Blocks, The Foundation for Quality Licensed Child Care and have my food handler permit. In addition I am required to take at least 10 hours of Merit training per year. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to call, text or email. What a sweet start to a brand-new school year at Little Gumdrops! 💛

This week was all about welcoming new friends, learning our new routines, getting comfortable in our classroom, and building our little school community.

We also spent time talking about kindness, personal boundaries, and respecting each other’s space—such important skills as we learn, play, and grow together. 🤍

And we had a VERY special introduction… 🐱💙 Pete the Cat! Pete will be taking turns going home with each of our friends for his own little adventures! We can’t wait to see what Pete gets up to and hear all about his time with each family. 🏠

Here’s to a wonderful year of new friendships, big adventures, lots of learning, and even more fun! 🍎

A little carnival magic at the sensory table! 🌈 We scooped, poured, mixed, filled, and dumped our colorful “popcorn” while strengthening those little hands along the way.

Sensory play may look simple, but it’s packed with learning—fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, color exploration, creativity, and lots of open-ended play. ❤️💛💜🩵

Digging in the dirt, turning over rocks, searching for bugs, and exploring all the little treasures nature has to offer. Childhood should be filled with muddy hands, dirty knees, fresh air, and lots of curiosity! ☀️🍃

So much learning happens when we simply let them get outside, get messy, and explore! 💚

Process art + Hot Wheels = the perfect combination! 🚗🎨

Today our little artists traded paintbrushes for cars! We dipped our Hot Wheels in paint and let them zoom, race, and roll across the paper, creating colorful tracks along the way.

We love process art at Little Gumdrops because it’s all about exploring, experimenting, and enjoying the experience—there’s no right or wrong way to create! And as a bonus, those little hands were working on fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and cause & effect while they played. 💛

Sometimes the best art happens when we just let them PLAY! 🚗

Today we made homemade tortillas from scratch for snack! From mixing and squishing the dough to rolling it out and watching our tortillas cook, the kids got to be part of every step. 🤍

Cooking together is such a fun way to build fine motor skills, independence, confidence, and practical life skills—and of course, the best part is getting to eat what we made!

They definitely don’t look perfect but were delicious 😋

Our little chefs made their own apple snacks today with peanut butter, raisins, chocolate chips & SPRINKLES! 🌈
