What a great group of School Resource Officers we are privileged to host this week, along with the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) top tier instructors!
We have received formal notification that St. Charles County Police Department will be assuming responsibility over all security licensing for St. Charles County. Below will be our procedures through June 30, 2026 after consideration for new security officer applicants, current security officers, security companies, and the St. Charles County Police Department as they implement their procedures for going forward.
*The last Basic Security Officer 16-hour course will be on June 16-17, 2026. For any new security officers seeking a temporary security license, one will be granted with an expiration date of July 30, 2026. This is only after the standard fingerprinting procedures are accomplished.
*For anyone that does not attend one of the two Basic Security Officer courses that they are registered for during June, they will NOT receive a temporary security license extension and must wait until after July 1, 2026 for the revised procedures.
*For security officer license renewals, only those with an expiration date prior to July 1, 2026 will be permitted to schedule a renewal appointment to have their license renewed.

Class 1-2026, our senior class, ran with Law Enforcement Officers from across St. Charles yesterday in the Special Olympics Torch Run. The shortest distance ran was 2 miles while several of them ran just over 5 miles. Outstanding job Seniors and for such an incredible cause!

More pics to follow, but Class 2-2026 weathered Protocol Day on Monday, losing only one. Don't let the size of this class fool you, this is a talented and tenacious group of recruits, nearly all of which are sponsored already. Nearly their entire Protocol Day was spent in the rain.
Testing is underway for our part-time class! If you’re interested, contact [email protected] to schedule testing.
