Twenty-five years ago, on his first day as the band teacher at Lake Placid Middle School, Professor Aristides Salgueiro looked out at a classroom full of excited new students, ready to make music together.

Now, even after retiring, he’s found a new way to share that same joy—by opening a music school to keep the music playing for generations to come.
