Corey’s unexpected passing is a cut too deep and too close to the heart of the Medic Materials family.

Corey was the best EMS partner I ever had. For seven years, across two different agencies, we worked side by side. He was there as I grew from EMT, to Intermediate, to Paramedic. But more than a partner, Corey was a dear friend.

From our “woo-off” at WrestleMania, to hearing him yell “2 more in the door” after a simple trip to Five Guys, to watching the love between him and Emily grow and flourish, Corey brought joy, laughter, and love everywhere he went. He was even the inspiration behind “DONUTS” on the podcast.

Corey touched more lives than I could ever put into words. Gerard, Butch, Phil, Mike, Kelsey, and most importantly Emily, will never be the same without him.

I find comfort knowing he is watching over each of us now, caring for us in a new way, just as he always did here on earth. I find comfort knowing he will be remembered for his selflessness, his love, his incredible humor, and most of all, his smile.

Rest easy, Corey. We love you. We miss you. And we will carry you with us always.
