Congratulations Brooke!!

Congratulations to our June 2026 Athlete of the Month… Brooke Ihry!!! 🎉
Nominated by her softball coach.
“Brooke has been a behind the scenes leader of our program for a long time. She leads by example and keeps the atmosphere in the dugout light. Brooke will be one of two seniors and a team captain next year. She is a very tallented ball player and has received awards to back that. In our final game of the high school season we were down by one run going into the 7th inning and Brooke hit her first home run to tie the game. She played extremely well in the field and at the plate all year and has continued that into summer ball. I look forward to watching her continue to grow and lead this team.”

Additional nominee was Brayden Bergman:
Words from his coach: “Brayden pitched a complete game win over OTC. Finished with 7 innings pitched, 6 strikeouts, with only 1 walk. Has started the summer ball season with a .571 batting average through 6 games. Most importantly, while being young, he has exceptional baseball IQ and leadership qualities beyond his years.”

We’d like to congratulate all nominees, as they were nominated by their coaches for their hard work! Great job Raiders!! 🙌

Sometimes you just have to get yourself out of bed real early to do a thing. Today was a fun one. The 18u girls played in the end of the year summer tournament after finishing second place during the season.
The 18us welcomed several of the 14us to help, seeing as we were short girls. They all came together on and off the field.

We started out a little rough but figured some things out by the second game. After loosing to Hawley they snapped back and won against Detroit Lakes and Perham.

It was HOT but they kept fighting and did great. After the game they headed to Osage to the public beach and well deservingly cooled off and had a blast.

Thanks to the girls for making summer ball so much fun. They even included the coaches in a few of their in between games, water fights.

7-12-26 last night of 14U summer ball. We might have come up short on the scoreboard but these girls have made huge progress this last month. Can’t wait to see what happens next spring. Like to thank Alivia and Kenna for coaching this summer. Also thanks to all the parents for your continued support of LPA softball.

6-30-26 18U game. Came up with a great win. We where the (home) team. We have some solid talent and we all look forward to see where they go next year.

6-30-26 summer ball in Barnesville. I will have four posts for these games.
Below is our 14U game. Girls are getting better each game. I was not able to make first game but they are sure fun to watch. Keep up the good work.

Raider 14U summer ball 6-23-26. Great night to play ball. The girls are improving every game. Never gets old. Keep up the good work girls.

I’m missing my photographer guy. If any parents have pictures of tonight games maybe you could put them in the comments.

That said the girls played well again tonight and a lot of them got to play positions that are not their normal positions. They did great. 18u won two games against Pelican Rapids. It was fun and a great opportunity to try different things. These girls are currently 5-0 on the summer. Next week Barnesville. Good job ladies.

I got the opportunity to attend the all star games Sunday in Mankato with Mark to watch Kenna play. So proud of her and all the accomplishments she has made. It is a huge honor to be part of this game. Only 70 out of 6,000 girls get picked so I would say that’s pretty awesome!! I overheard a coach say “dang she is a good catcher” and they are correct. We where blessed to have one of the best part of our team. Congratulations Kenna!!
