Meet Amber Simmons, RT(R)(VI) — AVIR’s Director at Large! 🌟

Amber’s journey through Interventional Radiology is a perfect example of where passion, curiosity, and a willingness to grow can take you.

From training at the Charles J. Tegtmeyer School of Interventional Radiology at the University of Virginia, to becoming a Lead IR Technologist, contributing to research, gaining experience in the medical device industry, and ultimately returning to UVA as a Clinical Education Coordinator — Amber has built a career centered around education, leadership, and advancing the IR profession.

🌟 AVIR BOD HIGHLIGHT | Meet Stephanie Loboda

Meet Stephanie Loboda, R.T.(R)(CT)(VI), AVIR’s Secretary/Treasurer!

Stephanie brings experience spanning clinical imaging, healthcare operations, leadership, and medical sales. Her IR career includes serving as Assistant Supervisor of Interventional Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, and she is currently pursuing her MBA through Penn State University.

But her path to the Board started with getting involved.

Before becoming Secretary/Treasurer, Stephanie served AVIR through the Program, Ethics, Education, and Financial/Membership Committees—a great example of how volunteering can grow into meaningful leadership within our profession.
