In this week’s The Current, we’re celebrating the people who make the start of a new school year so special. Our dedicated employees and incredible volunteers have been busy preparing, welcoming, organizing, and making sure our schools are ready for students.

We’re grateful for everyone who has helped us get ready and set. Now there’s just one thing left to do: GO!

Don’t miss a beat! Registration closes tomorrow!

There’s still time for 4th- and 5th-grade students to join our before-school Elementary Strings program and start the school year on a high note!

Beginning Strings: Learn violin, viola, or cello, no experience needed.
Elementary Orchestra: Keep growing your skills and making music with others.

Registration closes September 1. Classes begin September 14.

The June Bond Accountability Committee (BAC) Report is now available and includes the latest updates on major projects across the district, including the new Lake Oswego Middle School, Forest Hills Elementary replacement, Palisades World Language School addition, Lake Oswego High School roof replacement, and more.

BAC reports are posted monthly on our district website under Capital Bond > Oversight.

From kindergarten celebrations to graduation ceremonies, this year was filled with learning, growth, achievement, and unforgettable moments. Together, our students, staff, families, and community accomplished so much, and we have a lot to celebrate.

Thank you for making Lake Oswego schools such special places to learn, belong, and thrive. We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved summer and look forward to welcoming students back in September!
