🌈 A Rainbow of Belonging 🌈

If you've ever looked around Camp Yakety Yak and wondered why everyone is wearing different colored shirts, there's a reason.

Our colorful shirts help campers, families, volunteers, and staff quickly identify one another—but they also represent something bigger: everyone has an important place in our community.

❤️ Red – Professional staff, including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, special education teachers, educational psychologists, and members of our Camper Support Team.

🤍 White – Camp administrators, support staff, and classroom instructors who help keep camp running smoothly and bring our weekly curriculum to life.

🩷 Pink – Nurses and medical support staff who help ensure campers receive the care they need throughout the day.

💛 Yellow – Personal support workers and medical support workers who attend camp alongside specific campers to provide additional support.

💙 Royal Blue – High school volunteers who build friendships, encourage participation, and support campers throughout the week.

🔵 Navy Blue – Graduate students in speech-language pathology and occupational therapy completing supervised clinical experiences at camp.

🩵 Aqua Blue – Campers in our Voyagers, Voyagers Siblings, and Explorers 1 & 2 programs.

💚 Kelly Green – Campers in our Voyagers Teens and Explorers 3 programs.

💜 Purple – Yak Apprentices, young adults building workplace and social skills through our four-week apprenticeship program.

Together, these colors create more than a camp dress code. They create a visible reminder that belonging isn't about fitting in—it's about knowing you have a place.
