4 Tips to Learning an Instrument as an Adult:

1. Research your music instructor. Find out what training they have had and what method/strategy they will use to teach.

2. Allow for many mistakes. When you are learning a new skill it takes many attempts to get things just right. Give yourself the freedom to keep trying with optimism.

3. Be prepared to put in the work. Building skills requires a full library of muscle memory. Be prepared to play your instrument each day even if you only have 15min.

4. Have realistic expectations. You may not be a virtuoso any time soon so make your goal to have fun and enjoy the journey.
