The sweetest baby shower. My sister in laws & the moms nailed my vision to a T and no one left me lift a finger 🤍

Dear parents - happy back to school season ☺️

It’s chaotic, exciting, nerve wracking, a huge relief and also already pulling on your heart strings.

You can’t wait for your littles to be out of the house for 6 hours, and at the same time you’ll miss them while they’re gone.

Kindergarten parents: there’s a good chance you or your child cry at drop off. That’s okay. It’s a big day for you both! Your kindergartener will be swept away by the day 5 mins after you leave & they’ll be a-okay 💛

There’s also a chance your little one might march right in without a second thought. That’s okay too. 🥹🥹

Mamas, Dads, caretakers - congratulations on making it to the end of summer, to the beginning of school. As cheesy as this all might sound, enjoy every moment - the tears, the big feelings, the smiles & laughs, your child growing up before your eyes.

Sending you all smooth back to school vibes!

My DMs are always open to help you & answer questions 💛

So you downloaded my Kindergarten Readiness Checklist - now what? THIS! Teach the Alphabet is your next move. It’s a guide for parents + workbook for kids that walks you through teaching your littles the alphabet in just a few minutes a day.

The alphabet is a big part of the foundation of reading. You’re probably already exposing your little ones to the alphabet and singing the abc’s with them, this is your next step to helping them remember the letters to be able to use them when learning to read!

Why this one?
The majority of workbooks I’ve seen are passive - meaning you just give it to your child to work through and there’s not much conversation or interaction with the letters. I wanted to give you words and routines to take the learning to a level where kids are more likely to retain what they do AND it’s low-lift for you.

Every detail – which animal/picture for each letter, which letters to be on each page for circling, which pictures to include on each page for circling – all of these details were carefully and intentionally selected to support your child’s learning on the most nuanced level. Things you wouldn’t know of, but can have a big compound impact.

Who it’s for:
Kids who are ~3+ and are interested in books, reading or letters. Parents who want the convenience of printing this at home and the confidence knowing they have a science based product.

How it works:
Buy it (it’s $19.99), print it and you’re ready to go!

What’s included:
• Instructions for parents: what to say, the purpose/goal of each section & page, tips for success
• Workbook for kids: all 26 letters in both capital and lowercase have their own page
• Bonus content: printable cards to extend the learning. Letters, pictures, and the hand signs for each letter.

Where to get it:
• At my link in bio (Teach the Alphabet)
• Or comment the word ALPHABET and I’ll send you the link!

Happy learning 🎉

Slide 6 for how this concept translates to school skills 😊

One thing that helped my kiddos in my kindergarten classroom was teaching them to say “thank you” in response to “I’m sorry”

I found that it did a few things:
A) Helped everyone get through their feelings faster
B) Contributed to building confidence & learning to use their voice to speak up, ask for help, share an idea, teach another classmate the word pattern
C) Reinforced boundaries. Doing something that’s not okay, isn’t okay, why are we telling kids that it is 🙃

Save this & share it with a friend 💛

I have space for 3 more virtual tutoring clients and doors close this Friday 🎉

This is for you if your kiddo is:
• in kindergarten through 5th grade
• barely on grade level
• wiggly and “distracting” at school
• had a rough year last year & needs some help catching up

Virtual tutoring has some awesome benefits!
• higher frequency: we see each other twice a week instead of once
• shorter screen doses: we meet for 30 instead of 60 mins, so it’s less time of 👀 on screens
• better pricing: it’s $65/hour right now. Pricing will probably increase in the new year.
• no material interference: zoom is simply the vessel for seeing each other. I still use pencils, paper, crayons, drawing, writing, reading real books, etc.

Tutoring with me is founded on building a trusting relationship with you & your child so that I can help your child’s learning take off & you don’t need me anymore!

I have two consultations this week and only three more spots available. If you’re on the fence — send me a message. I promise I don’t bite 😁

A lot of kids are behind — and that’s nothing to be embarrassed, ashamed or shy about. It’s simply a reality right now. Is every kid behind? Nope! But are a lot of kids? Yes.

And I know you’re doing everything you can to help your little one at home.

Some kids were already behind.
Some kids struggled with zoom school.
Some kids made it through the last few years okay, but now there are a lot of disruptive behaviors slowing them down.

No matter the reason your kiddo is behind in school — I can help.

My approach is effective, flexible, and connection based. This means that we are working together on zoom, but in a way that allows for your child to build a relationship with me AND LEARN. A trusting relationship is the only way learning can happen.

You don’t need to like this post, comment on it, or even save it.

If your child is behind, simply send me a message or schedule your consultation at the link in my bio.

You’ve got this. We’re in this together 🫶

(PS please ignore the “let’s” typo on slide 9 🤦🏼‍♀️ it should be lets)
