Alpine Academy

We are a nationally accredited early childhood center in Lake Orion, Michigan. We have experienced, mature, and loving teachers.

Alpine Academy is a private school in Rochester Hills, Michigan, for children from one to five years old (and up to 12 years old for summer care). Each child is placed in a small group with one teacher in her own room. Every day, our mission is to find the perfect balance between play and academics. Our curriculum has been successful for the past 23 years. We give each child the individual attention that he needs to be successful.

Welcome to Alpine's Car Wash! Our summer campers stayed cool and had a blast during our car wash-themed water day. They loved playing in bubbly suds, using sponges to "wash" the cars, and enjoying a fun sensory experience. Along the way, campers were also learning as they played by strengthening their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and teamwork while engaging in imaginative play and sensory exploration. It was the perfect way to cool off, have fun, and learn through play all at the same time.

What a wonderful day in our garden at Alpine Academy. We had an amazing time bringing our families together for a special garden event. Our children learned how to grow their own food by planting tomatoes and discovering the joy of gardening. It was a beautiful opportunity to connect, create lasting memories, and plant a little more love in our Alpine Academy garden.

Camping Week is in full swing, and the excitement has been building as our campers immerse themselves in fun, hands-on camping adventures.

What's a camping trip without s'mores? Our young scientists put their STEM skills to the test by designing and building their very own solar ovens. Using the power of the sun, they discovered how solar energy can be used to cook a tasty treat. Along the way, they made predictions, solved problems, worked together, and celebrated their delicious success. It was the perfect blend of science, creativity, teamwork, and a little bit of camping magic!

Alpine Academy had the pleasure of welcoming the Oakland County Fire Department for an exciting and educational fire safety presentation. Our campers learned important fire safety tips, watched Firefighter Andrew gear up in full protective equipment, and even had the chance to explore the inside of a fire truck and see the tools firefighters use every day.

Summer is in full swing at Alpine Academy. Our campers have been making the most of the sunny weather with exciting water play activities and hands-on science experiments. This week, campers explored how germs spread through a fun pepper-and-soap experiment and used a blue light activity to learn about the importance of proper handwashing.

What a wonderful time we had at Alpine Academy celebrating the end of the semester and getting excited for summer camp. What an exciting day here at Alpine Academy. Our caterpillars finally transformed into beautiful butterflies. The children were amazed as they watched them spread their wings before we released them outside to fly away. Experiencing the butterfly life cycle from start to finish was such a fun and meaningful hands-on learning opportunity for all our learners. Watching the butterflies take flight brought so much excitement, curiosity, and joy to our classrooms!

The sun is shining at Alpine Academy, and we’re so happy to be enjoying it while engaging in hands-on STEM learning. Our young learners had a fantastic time creating their very own sidewalk chalk paint and using it to produce beautiful outdoor artwork. It was a fun, creative way to explore science, color, and imagination all at once.

We love starting our week with a visit from the Rochester Hills Blue Library Bus.
Children of all ages have so much fun exploring the bus, picking out new books, and then gathering with Ms. Jill, the librarian, for stories, music, and movement. It’s the perfect way to spark a love of reading and learning!

Our students at Alpine Academy are enjoying hands-on science with a fun sink-or-float experiment. They’re making predictions, testing objects, and learning about buoyancy and density while building critical thinking skills. We love seeing their curiosity in action!
