Another week of Theater camp with Mrs. Amie is complete and uploaded to YouTube!
We recorded four songs this week, some with new lyrics, created scripts, and acted out a variety of scenes to create our story video!
Our biggest group to date and we had so much fun!

Summer theater camp session two was a success! The Chocolate Factory on the Yellow Brick Road blended inspiration from the musicals of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Wizard of OZ.

During session two we brainstormed to create new characters and storylines, wrote a script to guide us along while adding improv when acting out our story. Students also fully participated in creating the adapted song lyrics from the original songs used from The Wizard of OZ, and the newest inspired musical, Wonka. We then practiced recorded the songs to layer with our acting session videos to help tell our adapted and inspired story of The Chocolate Factory on the Yellow Brick Road.

Each student also made their own version of a video story using Canva from the photos and videos taken. I will try to share a few of those later if I have a chance!

If you would like your student to join theater camp, it's not to late to register for the remaining sessions. Week three, Think Happy Thoughts Under the Sea, started today.
I love seeing each of the campers growth from the first week!

Cougar Beats is going to be set up Tuesday, December 19th from 6:30-8:30pm and during the Christmas lobby event, Wednesday, December 20th from 6-6:45 and then immediately following the Elementary Christmas Musical!
