Welcome October!!!🍂🍁🎃🦇

What another beautiful Fall weekend! Hopefully you all had time to enjoy the outdoors!

These past two weeks have been busy! We have been talking about Fall colors and leaves! 🍁 🍁🍂We did so many activities! We painted with leaves, enjoyed a nature walk outside to find leaves, we played in the Fall sensory table which included acorns, mini pumpkins and some leaves, we read many stories and poems about leaves and Fall, enjoyed fall sensory bags and bottles, we did color matching, leaf sorting and so much more!

This next week we have Fire Safety week! 🔥🧯🚒We look forward to a visit from the Lake Mills Fire Department on Tuesday morning. The kids are going to love it for sure! We are looking forward to all of our fun activities for the week!

The Lake Mills Moravian Church will be having Market Day on Saturday, October 17th from 9-1. Please stop by and check it out! During that time, we will be having Fall activities at Joyful Hearts! We will also start at 9am! We will be doing some Fall activities and having a caramel apple bar! 🍎🍏Come and enjoy!

At Joyful Hearts last week we learned all about Apples! 🍎 🍏We painted with apples, made apple trees with our fingerprints and with our feet, we played with apples in water, we fed the apples and we even painted paper apples with caramel and then the kiddos got to eat it!

This next week we are talking about Fall colors!
🍂🍁And just like that, our weather is slowly getting cooler outside. We look forward to our next couple weeks, including our Fall festival we will be having on October 17th. This will start at 9am. We will be having caramel apples and fall activities for the kiddos. This will be the same day as Market Day at the Lake Mills Moravian church. Hope you can come out and see us and stop in and check out Market Day!

We have had a busy two weeks at Joyful Hearts! We started Back to School Week and All About Me! 📚✂️🎨

During the last two weeks we have learned about school, have met new friends, we have met a new teacher, we have been learning rules; we spent time talking about our families, what we like and dislike, painted and traced our names, have been learning colors and numbers and so much more!!

This week we are going to learn about apples!! 🍎

We continue to grow and we look forward to some more new friends starting soon!!! 👶👧

One year ago we opened Joyful Hearts Learning Center! So proud to be a part of this ministry of the Moravian Church in Lake Mills! So proud of our growth in one year! Thank you to all of our amazing staff and to all of the families…we appreciate and love you!!! Thank you for sharing your kiddos with us each and every day!!!❤️

And Happy 1 year anniversary to our first employee, Mrs. Peggy! So appreciative of your hard work and dedication!

We missed posting last week, but we are making up for it this week! Time has been flying by, but we had a fun and busy week this week! All classroom teachers picked their own themes for the week, even asking the parents what their thoughts were on theme ideas! Our young infants and oldest classrooms did colors for the week, our two’s did Pete the Cat and our older infants/young toddlers did Little Scientists. It was so neat seeing everyone doing their own things!!! Some of our favorites were, sensory with noodles and pudding, painting with grass outside, sensory bags with watermelon exploration, watching popsicles melt for the color orange, making sun handprints, flannel board getting Pete the Cat dressed and just so much more!!🐈‍⬛🔴🟣🔵🟠🍉We ended our week with a pizza party! Yummy!🍕😋

Our older infants/young toddlers are exploring so many new things!! They love looking at themselves in the mirror, they are starting to wear shoes because some will be walking soon and they aren’t really sure if they like the grass yet or not. 😊 Even our young infants aren’t sure if they like the grass.

Another highlight of the week was school starting! Some of our kiddos going to school for the first time and riding the bus for the first time! That was so exciting, but yet some seemed a bit nervous. 🚌📍✏️✂️📚

This next week our them is Back to School! During this week, we welcome some more new families and some of our kiddos changing classrooms! 🚌

We are so happy to see so much growth at our center! We have welcomed quite a few new families and we will be welcoming more soon!

Are you looking for a fun, loving, welcoming environment to work in? Then this is the place for you! Joyful Hearts Learning Center in Lake Mills is growing and growing quickly!

We are looking for for a couple of full-time, flexible, dedicated, fully qualified individuals that are able to work between the hours of 6am and 530pm, working with various age groups. We will also be looking to hire someone in mid October for our 1-2 year old classroom.

We are also looking for a high school senior, who may be looking at Education as their future career, that may be looking for a part-time job before and/or after school. Daycare is a great place to start!

Wages between $17 and $20 per hour, based on education and experience.
