**FREEBIE**

These pages are designed to support Step 8 (Connected Text - Spell) in your UFLI lessons.

They feature custom shapebox fonts to guide students in the path of motion when writing letters. Each letter starts with a clear “start dot” to help students know where to place their pencil, making handwriting more intuitive.

The Shapebox Spelling Patterns font supports phoneme-grapheme mapping. It shows how multiple letters work together to make a single sound (e.g., th appears in one box, divided by a dotted line). This goes beyond traditional sound boxes by also visually indicating how many letters are needed to spell a sound.

These resources are ideal for:

Visual supports for students who benefit from explicit handwriting guidance.
Heart word instruction – true heart words include a heart symbol to signal irregular spelling. Temporary heart words are not marked with hearts.
Writing prompts – arrows at the end of each sentence provide a cue for ending punctuation.
You can easily clip and paste into your UFLI slides or print for individual student use.

It's been a long while since I've been making and creating. Life just gets busy and hectic and you get sucked into the daily grind. Realized this summer that I need to focus on things I like to do, which is make new things for my classroom without it becoming a stressor!

We are officially starting the UFLI scope and sequence so I decided to make some resources to use!

Here is a link to the UFLI resources I've created and uploaded to my TPT store so far.
