It was a spectacular day as we celebrated our last day of summer camp travels. We painted flag shirts, oxidized pennies to show the effects found on the Statue of Liberty, fireworks drawings, bead bracelets and lots of laughs. Enjoy your summer break!

Just a few photos from our travels yesterday to Mt. Rushmore. Today is the last day of our travels across America. It has been fun and finding a dinosaur made it more special.

Today we traveled to Washington DC. We enjoyed learning about the National Mall, cherry blossoms, the US Flag and the Declaration of Independence. It has been a fun three weeks traveling across America!

This week we will be visiting different monuments throughout our country as we continue learning about America. Today we visited the Dinosaur Monument in Utah. We learned about dinosaurs, fossils, dinosaur eggs, otters, and cacti. We also created fireworks!

Today we traveled to Redwood National Park and learned about the following topics: Watercolor on old book page, Tide pools, Porcupines, Redwood trees at night with chalk, more redwood trees, and the older class made a compass.
We enjoyed our travels this week and are excited learn about National monuments next week.

Our travels took us to Grand Canyon National Park on day 3 of this week's summer camp. We learned it covers 1,217,403 acres and is a mile deep. Some fun facts include there are 447 bird species and 91 mammal species. We had fun creating snakes, butterflies lady bugs and decorated rocks.

We had another fun day traveling to Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. Fire flies, lanterns, moose and bear crafts were created. So much fun on our travels.

Good afternoon, families. We were so excited to see you all today for ‘Hats Off to America’. We had an amazing day visiting the Everglades National Park in Florida. Today we learned about alligators, opossums, and manatees. Tomorrow we are off to Glacier Bay in Alaska.
