Today was a beautiful reminder of what community looks like in action. 💛

We had the opportunity to attend our first community event hosted by one of our amazing partners, and it was so much more than a back-to-school giveaway.

Families received school supplies, a meal, prayer, and encouragement as they prepare for a new school year. 🎒📚

This is why community partnerships matter. When small businesses come together with a shared heart for the people they serve, the impact reaches far beyond what any of us could do alone.

Small businesses truly are the heartbeat of the community, and we’re grateful to be part of it. 🫶🏽

Here’s to a school year filled with support, connection, and community. ✨

Helping families and educators connect the dots between research and real-life learning.

"Just memorize your math facts."

It's advice many of us heard growing up.

While math facts are important, research shows that understanding why they work helps learners become flexible, confident problem solvers.

This week's episode explores why memorization is only part of the equation.

The Co-Regulation Corner | Co-Regulation Tip #4

Children are listening to more than our words.

They’re also listening to our tone.

When emotions are running high, try lowering your voice instead of raising it. A calm, steady tone can help communicate safety and support co-regulation.

🌱 Try this today:
Pause. Slow your pace. Lower your voice.

What’s one strategy that helps you stay calm during challenging moments?

🧠 Inspired by research on co-regulation, nervous system regulation, and the work of Dr. Stephen Porges.

💙 See you next time in The Co-Regulation Corner.

Many families are surprised to learn that personalized learning isn't just for learners who need extra support.

It's for every learner.

Whether a child needs to be challenged, build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, or learn in a way that better matches how they think, personalized learning meets them where they are and helps them continue growing.

Every learner deserves an approach designed with their unique strengths, needs, and goals in mind.

What misconceptions have you heard about personalized learning?

This is what we mean when we say, "Where Learning Comes Full Circle." ⭕

Just days after completing a book study on the life of a dancer, one of our virtual learners stepped onto the stage for her dance showcase.

Our favorite part came afterward.

She keeps excitedly telling us whenever she hears or sees the word stamina, one of the vocabulary words we learned from the book. Those moments remind us that learning is not confined to a lesson or a worksheet. When learners build meaningful background knowledge, they begin recognizing and connecting what they have learned in the world around them.

That is the kind of learning that lasts.

We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see where your journey takes you next!

Helping families and educators connect the dots between research and real-life learning.

Many of us were taught to say, "Look at the picture," when a child got stuck on a word.

Current reading research points us in a different direction.

This week's episode explores why decoding—not guessing—helps children become confident, independent readers.

Strong comprehension starts with being able to retell what was read.

Using sentence strips gives learners a visual structure for organizing their thinking, sequencing events, and expressing ideas with confidence. As the support fades, the strategy becomes their own.

Sometimes the smallest instructional adjustments lead to the biggest breakthroughs.
