Hello everyone!

This summer, LMHS is hosting a Summer Choir Camp, open to all SCPS students, and we still have spots available!

The camp is for incoming ninth to outgoing twelfth grade students. It will take place from Monday through Thursday, July 12th to the 22nd, with a final concert on the 22nd. There is no audition required and all ability levels are welcome. We are also offering partial and full scholarships for students who want to participate and need financial assistance.

So unbelievably proud of my students, both present and past, on their performance tonight. :-) I absolutely loved getting to share Jeffrey Van's "A Procession Winding Around Me" with them, and the audience. Alejandro Imana, awesome guitar playing! The LMHS band did an outstanding job as well with their performances, and we were thrilled to sing the Veteran's medley with them. LMHS music department rules!

The chorus and band will be performing their fall concert this Thursday at 6:30pm in the LM auditorium. The concert is free, but $ for baked goods and raffle prizes are suggested. I'm super excited for the chorus to perform Jeffrey Van's "A Procession Winding Around Me". It's a setting of Walt Whitman poems that depicts the Civil War, and features a guitar to simulate sounds of battle scenes. Very cool! I hope you all can make it.

So happy for and proud of the Lake Mary High Chorus for being named a Candlelight Honor Choir this year! Congrats to all the students for all their hard work. We get to sing opening night on Thanksgivng for the 2 latershows 6:45 and 8:15, Nov. 25th for the 2 later shows, and Dec. 10th at the 5pm show. Hope you guys can make it at some point to hear us.
