National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is this week, April 26–May 2. The 2026 theme, “America at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeship,” reflects the nation’s 250th anniversary and underscores the vital role registered apprenticeship plays in preparing Americans for the skilled jobs of today and tomorrow. In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, Deer Park ISD is proud to acknowledge our dedicated employees who are serving as apprentices and resident teachers on our campuses and are actively working toward earning their teaching certification through the District’s Registered Apprenticeship Program. We are proud of their contributions to our schools and look forward to the positive impact they will have as future educators.
