Need an easy name activity for your toddlers or preschoolers? Grab the dot stickers! 🙌 I wrote the first letter of each child’s name and let them cover it with stickers. It gives them a chance to start connecting “That’s MY letter!” while getting lots of practice peeling and placing those little stickers. You could also use this with shapes, numbers, colors, or whatever your kids are currently working on!

Poke pages are one of those activities that look SO simple… but the focus says it all! 👏 These 2-year-olds were completely locked in! Using a golf tee to poke along the lines is a fun way to work on fine motor strength, hand-eye coordination, pencil grasp, and pre-writing skills—without handing them another worksheet to trace. 🙌 Sometimes the best learning really does come from simple materials + busy little hands. ❤️ Would your toddlers sit this long for a poke page? 👀

Stickers are one of my FAVORITE simple tools for building fine motor skills! 🙌 Peeling, pinching, grasping, and placing those tiny stickers gives little fingers a serious workout—and the kids just think they’re playing. 😂👏 ✨ Cheap ✨ Easy to prep ✨ Keeps them engaged ✨ Builds the hand strength they’ll eventually need for writing Teacher tip: Peel off the background part of the sticker sheet first and leave just the stickers behind. It makes it SO much easier for little hands to peel them independently! I saw these on Owlsomekinders video and requested them right away! Go follow her! Who else keeps a ridiculous amount of stickers in their classroom? 🙋‍♀️😂

with Kerstin | In Home Daycare I believe social media has created an aesthetically pleasing monster that unfortunately doesn't focus enough on developmentally appropriate skills and how to manage children in a classroom environment. This leaves teachers broke, burned out, and ready to leave the profession. That breaks my heart! On the topic of play… I do believe in schedules, but I also believe in flexibility and allowing the kids time to play and get creative. What are your thoughts? Have you found a balance in either of these?
