Lake Havasu High School Band of Knights

Lake Havasu High School Band of Knights Keeping parents and students informed about the LHHS Band program in Lake Havasu City, AZ! We are excited to be gearing up for another fun and great year!

The Band of Knights is comprised of all students who are enrolled in any of the Instrumental Music Department classes, which includes Marching Band (fall only), Jazz Band, Orchestra, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble (spring only), and a Percussion (Drums/Keyboards) and Colorguard Class. Students are encouraged to join band or orchestra classes for a great experience in music!

Last week, 24 of our students attended a leadership workshop hosted by Scott Lang Leadership at Dobson HS. It was a beautiful day full of learning, excitement, motivation, and leadership. We are thankful to have attended! Huge thanks to Scott Lang for a motivating high energy session for our students, and thank you to our chaperones for your help and guidance on the trip. Looking forward to a great season ahead of us! 🎶🎉

Reminder! Parent social snack hour Is happening right after todays practice, followed by Required Band Registration at 6pm!

***HELP NEEDED!! We are seeking parent volunteers this year to add to our booster team! If you have questions, or would like to get more involved in our program, please talk to our boosters and staff tonight (social hour is your best bet!!) We are always looking for help with football games, fundraising, chaperoning and our various events throughout the season.

**Music in the Parks 2026!**
Over the weekend, our band traveled to California to compete in a concert band festival called "Music in the Parks" - complete with fun things like a trip to Medieval Times and a full day at Knott's Berry Farm, ending with an awards ceremony in the park! We are very pleased to announce that our LHHS Wind Ensemble represented Havasu well!

Congrats to the band on 2nd place overall, receiving a score of 91 and earning our first-ever rating of 'SUPERIOR', which is the highest rating awarded!

In addition, out of 10 total performing ensembles on Saturday, we were also awarded the "Esprit de Corps" award!!! (This award stands for 'reputation, maturity, professionalism, and respect', and 'representing our area' well.)

This is such an honor, and we are so extremely proud of these kids and their hard work this semester! We would like thank our administration, staff, parents, and our Havasu community for supporting our program, supporting our fundraisers, and supporting these amazing 'out of classroom' opportunities for our students! Things like tax credit and donations help to support these amazing experiences!!! 👏🎉😊

Friendly reminder, you can catch our band performing this same music at our last concert of the year, happening tomorrow (Tuesday 5/12), at 6pm, in the PAC - Free Admission!
