The 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks brought Lake Havasu City’s community together. On Friday, Sept. 11, numerous city, county and state representatives attended the 9/11 Rededication Ceremony at London Bridge Beach.

Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic School students sang “God Bless America,” while Thunderbolt Middle School choir students performed “Of Thee I Sing.” The hour-plus ceremony also featured speakers Mayor Cal Sheehy and City Magistrate Mitchell Kalauli, who each reflected on the anniversary’s meaning.

The ceremony is organized each year by the 9/11 Memorial Committee, which honors the tragic events that took place on Sept. 11, 2001.
