Every throw asks a kid's brain to judge distance, track a target and time a release all at once. That's spatial awareness and sustained attention, two skills that show up way beyond the blue floor: in classrooms, on playgrounds, everywhere.

Teaching kids directional terms strengthens their spatial thinking ā€” and spatial thinking is the foundation for math and science. So that obstacle course? It's basically a head start on geometry.
