Dolly Parton was the heart of America. I join the entire country in mourning her loss and pray for her family and friends. Her kindness and generosity to all, especially children, will give her a special place in heaven. While Dolly and her work will always be remembered, her gift of literacy will never die.

The pipes at the Vietnam memorial in Glens Fall helped to make this ceremony very moving.

This morning, I had the honor and privilege of attending the ceremony for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and the 9/11 Memorial Wall.
Standing before these memorials is an incredibly emotional experience. It is a powerful reminder of the countless men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I am forever grateful for their courage, service, and sacrifice, and I pray that their families and friends find peace and comfort as they continue to carry such a profound loss.

Our community was truly blessed to have these memorial walls visit us. I strongly encourage you to bring your children, family, and friends to experience a memorial like this. It offers a perspective that is difficult to put into words and a meaningful opportunity to teach future generations about the sacrifices made to protect our freedom.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸
