🤖🎉 FIRST LEGO League training starts next week at Spark Lab Academy!

We're excited to kick off this season with the brand-new FLL Future Edition, featuring LEGO's CS&AI kit — and our BIOGLOW competition field and table setup are ready to go! Students will spend the season building, coding, and problem-solving as a team, all leading up to local qualifiers and the regional tournament this November and December.

We have two teams starting the week of 8/17:
👶 K-2 team meets Mondays, 4:00–7:00 PM
🧑‍🔬 Grades 3-8 team meets Thursdays, 4:00–7:00 PM

We're still accepting students for both age groups this season — it's a fantastic way for kids to build real engineering, coding, and teamwork skills while working toward a real competition.

🤖 FIRST LEGO League team registration is officially open at Spark Lab Academy — and this season's challenge, BIOGLOW Future Edition, is all about the future of health and wellness!

We're forming teams across three age groups: 5–7 (K–2), 8–10 (3–5), and 11–14 (6–8). Each team of 3–4 students will design, build, and program a robot while researching and pitching real solutions to a real-world problem, guided by our mentors.

The season kicks off August 4th and runs 4–5 months, with teams meeting 1–2 times a week (about 4 hours total). Full season is $1,200 (about $300/month), covering official FLL team registration, 2+ competition events, and a team t-shirt.

🎮 Level complete — and so is our Platformer Coding Camp! 🏆

This week, our young coders did something incredible: they built their own platformer game from scratch — complete with multiple levels, enemies, and everything in between! Using MakeCode Arcade, they went from blank screen to full game in just a few days.

Watching their faces light up when their character jumped, dodged, and beat the first level they designed themselves? Absolutely priceless. 🚀
