On Friday, I lost my hero, my best friend—my mom. I have dreaded this day for as long as I can remember. To those who truly knew her, she was larger than life: witty, clever, intelligent, and wonderfully unpredictable. When I think of my mom, I think of her boundless love for her family and how she would do absolutely anything for us. Thank you, Mom, for everything. I love you forever.
