🥋 Tournament Time: Team Lake Forest, Let’s Do This!🥋

Quick announcement for our USSD Lake Forest community: our studio will be CLOSED this Saturday, May 30th, because our instructors and students are heading to the USSD Karate Tournament!

📍 Where: Orange Coast College (OCC), Costa Mesa

🏆 Action: Divisions for all ages and ranks!

If you aren’t stepping onto the mat to compete, we’d still love to see you in the stands. Come out to OCC, bring the energy, and help us cheer on Team Lake Forest! Your support makes a huge difference for our competitors.

We will rest up Sunday and be back in full force on Monday, ready to hear all the tournament stories and get right back to training. Good luck to everyone competing—show them what Lake Forest is made of! 🥇🔥

Today, the team and students at USSD Lake Forest pause to remember, honor, and express our deepest gratitude for the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

In martial arts, we talk a lot about discipline, respect, and protecting others - but today we recognize the heroes who gave everything to protect our freedom.

As we reflect on their legacy, we are reminded of the profound words of President John F. Kennedy:

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”

Let’s carry that spirit of honor, gratitude, and community with us not just today, but every single day. Wishing everyone a safe, meaningful, and reflective Memorial Day weekend. 🕊️✨
