Method:
My teaching method focuses on theory and sight reading, encouraging students to explore their own interests, finding and learning sheet music that appeals to them outside of regular study. I feel that my lessons should eventually work me out of a job, providing the tools and knowledge to empower my students to pursue their own growth and learning beyond my guidance. About Me:
I have has been playing piano for more than 20 years and first began teaching in 2008, while pursuing a Bachelors degree in the North San Francisco Bay Area. I completed my degree in 2013 and now live in Essex County, Massachusetts. For many years, I travelled to schools and homes throughout Sonoma County, offering group and private piano instruction to children and adults of all ages. These days, I am independently exploring jazz piano, expanding on my classical training with chord voicing, accompaniment, and improvisation. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
