Congratulations to seniors Claire Caserio (right) and Elisa McCusker (left), who have been named 2027 National Merit Semifinalists.

They are among fewer than 1% of U.S. high school seniors to earn this prestigious distinction and will continue competing for approximately 6,700 National Merit Scholarships to be awarded in Spring 2027.

Today we celebrated the House Calling Ceremony!

The ceremony began in the Chapel with a reflection on the history of our four founding mothers: St. Madeleine-Sophie Barat, St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, RSCJ Aloysia Hardey, and RSCJ Janet Erskine Stuart. Followed by the Sacred Heart Goals represented by each House:

Barat — Goal 1: A personal and active faith in God.
Stuart — Goal 2: A deep respect for intellectual values.
Duchesne — Goal 3: A social awareness which impels to action
Hardey — Goal 5: Personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom

Then came the moment everyone was waiting for: finding out which House called the new students, faculty, and staff, complete with a confetti cannon!

Congratulations to all of our newest House members. We’re ready for another year of community, spirit, and friendly competition!

A Woodlands World Premiere is coming this fall: LADIES OF THE LAKE.

Meet Gilda Joyce, a self-described "psychic investigator," news reporter, and the newest student at Castlegrove Academy, a school with a very complicated past.

Set in the 1990s and adapted from Jennifer Allison's critically acclaimed novel, Woodlands Academy's World Premiere of LADIES OF THE LAKE is a ghost story, a mystery, and a tale of friendship, healing, and the search for belonging.

Through a creative collaboration with the author, our Woodlands cast and crew are bringing this Edgar-nominated mystery to life onstage in a spooky but heartwarming production that's perfect for the Halloween season.

Today, September 5, we celebrate the International Day of Charity, a day that raises global awareness about the importance of helping others and reducing poverty worldwide.

Service is an integral part of the Woodlands community and a reflection of Goal 3: A Social Awareness Which Impels to Action. Recently, our Service Club put this goal into action by creating handmade cards for Cardz For Kidz, an organization dedicated to uplifting spirits around the globe through inspiring cards.

Through compassion, service, and small acts of kindness, our students are making a difference beyond our campus.

In Mrs. Dunn’s CP and Honors Biology courses, students took their learning outside to our outdoor classroom located in Susie's Prairie Garden, where they observed four different organisms. Students made detailed observations and used their findings to identify characteristics that classify each organism as a living thing.
