Handel's Dine Out
Debrief about the first day of school with friends while helping to raise money for the 6th grade to go to science camp. Order at Handel's and 20% of sales will come back to us if you tell them you're with Santiago STEAM!

PTA ZOOM Meeting: September 3rd at 6:30pm. Learn about ways to get involved and support PTA.

Volunteering: Scarecrows for STEAM & Fall Festival
The Fall Festival and the Scarecrows for STEAM Art Contest have been moved to October to avoid the El Nino rain forecast November. PTA is in desperate need for helpers to run the Scarecrows for STEAM Art Days, setup day, and ballot counting. As well as helpers for the Fall Festival to run STEAM Booths, trick-or-treat trail tables, setup, cleanup, create auction baskets, and more!!!
Scarecrows for STEAM Deadline: Oct 20

Raise Craze Fundraiser - Our annual PTA Fundraiser to raise money to fund programs, events, and support classrooms. If students reach the $25K goal, all student will get free wristbands to the Fall Festival.

Aeries Data Confirmation is Open – Please Complete as Soon as Possible

Dear Santiago STEAM Families,

Aeries Data Confirmation for the 2026–2027 school year opens on July 13th. We are asking all families to complete this process as soon as possible.

At Santiago, we currently have a few grade levels that are right on the threshold between maintaining combination classes and having enough enrollment to create single-grade classrooms. The sooner families complete Data Confirmation, the sooner we will have accurate enrollment information to make final class placement decisions and ensure that appropriate staffing is in place for the start of the school year.

The district will send reminders and detailed instructions when Data Confirmation opens, but the process is the same one completed each year. Please remember:

Data Confirmation must be completed every year.
A separate Data Confirmation is required for each child enrolled in SVUSD.
Completing this process helps us verify enrollment, update emergency contacts, and plan appropriately for staffing and class organization.

If your child will not be returning to Santiago or another SVUSD school next year, please email me at [email protected] so that I can plan accordingly.

I'm so sorry that there was a lack of clarity with the data confirmation process. Here's the district verbiage for it:

Data Confirmation
Aeries Data Confirmation allows Parents to review and update student information (including emergency contacts, medical conditions and authorizations) directly in the Aeries Family Portal. It is the annual opportunity for families to fill out summer “re-registration” paperwork digitally, and it is a requirement for all SVUSD students.

For the 2026-2027 school year, Data Confirmation opens on July 13, 2026. Please complete the Data Confirmation process for each of your students as soon as possible. It is ideal to have Data Confirmation complete prior to school registration and the start of the school year.

When you login, a pop up should come up with notifications and data confirmation can be clicked on directly there. I hope that helps!

Join us at Islands TONIGHT, Monday, July 27th from 4PM-close. 20% of food and beverage order will go back to Santiago's 6th Grade Class to raise money for Science Camp. TELL THEM YOU'RE WITH SANTIAGO!!

This is a great opportunity to meet up with classmates and enjoy one another's company while also meeting up with new families coming to Santiago.

Aeries Data Confirmation
Please log into Aeries on July 14th to update your students info and confirm they are attending Santiago in the fall. If you are not returning, please do us a kindness and email the principal of the school to let her know. [email protected]

Island's and Handel's Dine Outs
Help support 6th grade by raising money for them to go to science camp. The cost keeps going up! We are having an Island's (dine-in) fundraiser on 7/27 from 4pm to close. Meet up with Santiago families or ask friends and family to dine with you. 20% goes back to Santiago's 6th grade class if you mention "Santiago STEAM"! Same goes for the first day of school if you get Handel's as an after school treat.
