We had a blast kicking off the Halloween season at our first Count Me In Party of the school year! 🎃 Pumpkin decorating, face painting, Halloween treats, and playground fun with friends made for a festive morning!

FPP Families — There’s still time to sign up for our fall and winter Count Me In Parties including mahjong, pizza and cupcake making, and a RESET • Lake Forest Strength & Sculpt workout for parents! These gatherings are such a fun way to connect with other families while supporting our wonderful school — 100% of proceeds directly benefit FPP. 💛 We’d love to see you there!

The sensory table is always a favorite! Last week, our Explorer and Discovery students enjoyed some hands-on sensory play with water and bubbles while practicing their fine motor skills, too! The kids loved scrubbing, pouring, rinsing, and doing some very important “dishwashing”. 🙂💦🫧

Little scientists have been hard at work in our Odyssey classroom! With help from Mrs. Peecher, our students used celery, water, and food coloring to explore how plants absorb water and how it travels up the stems and into the leaves. The very best part was returning the next morning to discover that the celery leaves had changed colors! We loved seeing their curiosity and excitement with this hands-on science experiment! 🪴💦🔬

On Fridays We Bake 👩🏻‍🍳 Our first baking day with Mrs. Ignoffo was a hit !! She was an inspiration to our hallway last school year with her fun Friday creations, and this time it was a funfetti Friday. Everyone got a turn to add an ingredient and a chance to stir them together. One of the best things about baking is that we get to have TWO snacks !! YUM.

🐛 Our classrooms are crawling with new friends 🐛 We are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and have loved observing our class caterpillars each day. We are so excited to watch them grow and change and, eventually, become beautiful butterflies !!
