LCWM Levy Facts | Fact #4: What Has LCWM Already Done?
When facing financial challenges, our first step was not asking taxpayers for more funding.

Our first step was reducing expenses.

Over the past two years, LCWM has made more than $600,000 in budget reductions, including staffing changes, restructuring positions, and reducing expenditures across the district.

Those decisions were difficult because every budget reduction affects people, programs, or services.

The proposed operating levy comes after those reductions—not before.

Our goal has always been to be responsible with taxpayer dollars while maintaining the educational opportunities our students deserve.

Today students in Mrs. Misslings' Career Investigations and Work Seminar classes were offered the opportunity to participate in the Tour of Manufacturing! We toured 4 businesses and learned a lot about the businesses and industries and careers available near us! We toured Door Engineering, Conagra Brands (Birdseye), Winegar, and TBEI. We saw fire department and aviation doors being designed and manufactured, corn being processed, parts to stethoscopes and transmissions being manufactured and truck bodies being manufactured. Thank you to everyone that helps to make the Tour of Manufacturing possible.
