We had a wonderful week learning all about fire safety at LCWM Elementary!

🚒 Kindergarten learned about fire safety gear and had the opportunity to explore the firetrucks.

🚒 First grade toured the fire hall and even got to ride back to school on the firetrucks!

🎨 Students in grades 1–5 put their creativity to work by participating in the annual fire safety poster contest.

Throughout the week, students learned valuable lessons about fire safety, safe charging practices, and the importance of discussing emergency plans with their families. These are important skills that help keep our students and their families safe!

A HUGE thank-you to the Lake Crystal Fire Department for sharing your knowledge, spending time with our students, and helping make Fire Safety Week such a memorable learning experience! We appreciate all you do for our school and community!

LCWM Levy Facts | Fact #4: What Has LCWM Already Done?
When facing financial challenges, our first step was not asking taxpayers for more funding.

Our first step was reducing expenses.

Over the past two years, LCWM has made more than $600,000 in budget reductions, including staffing changes, restructuring positions, and reducing expenditures across the district.

Those decisions were difficult because every budget reduction affects people, programs, or services.

The proposed operating levy comes after those reductions—not before.

Our goal has always been to be responsible with taxpayer dollars while maintaining the educational opportunities our students deserve.
