We kicked off our Wings of Harmony Choir auditions yesterday, and WOW—the response was overwhelming! 🦅🎤 So many Falcons were ready to share their talents that we were only able to make it through our 2nd and 3rd grade auditions!

Auditions will continue on Monday during the school day for our remaining grade levels. 🎶

But before we move on, we HAVE to shine the spotlight on some of the AMAZING voices we heard from our 2nd and 3rd grade Falcons! 🎤✨ They stepped up with confidence, courage, and some BIG voices!

The Wings of Harmony are coming together, and we can’t wait to hear what the rest of The Nest has in store! 🎵💛💙

We’re excited about our NEW customized outdoor furniture at PDILA! From benches and tables to trash cans and more, our outdoor spaces are getting a fresh Falcon makeover! 💙💛

These additions give our Falcons even more spaces to learn, gather, collaborate, eat, and enjoy time outdoors—all while showing off that PDILA pride! 🦅

Each week, our amazing custodian, Ms. Queen, keeps a close eye on classrooms throughout The Nest and selects the class that consistently shows the most pride in keeping its space clean, neat, and organized throughout the school day.

Our 5th Grade Falcons are FLYING! From the pre-test to the post-test, 82% of our students demonstrated mastery of ELA.AOR.2—Theme & Central Idea! 🎯

Our Falcons showed they have what it takes to soar toward mastery at The Nest! Every student who met the goal contributed to our CLASS goal, our GRADE-LEVEL goal, and ultimately our SCHOOL-WIDE goal! 📈

This is what happens when Falcons set goals, track their progress, put in the work, and SOAR! 🦅

PDILA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to former Board Member Alexzondrea Harrison for her continued partnership, support, and commitment to our Falcon Family. Even beyond her time of service on our Board, she continues to show up, support our mission, and pour into the work happening at The Nest.

Think you have the rhythm, discipline, confidence, and Falcon spirit to join the FORCE? It’s time to show us what you’ve got!

📅 Wednesday, September 23 – until 4:30 PM
📅 Thursday, September 24 – until 4:30 PM
📅 Friday, September 25 – Final Tryouts during the school day; regular 3:15 PM dismissal

Permission slips are due Tuesday, September 22. All former members MUST try out again, and all rides must be on time for Wednesday and Thursday pickup.

Our 4th Grade Falcons came to school comfy, cozy, and ready to relax as they celebrated reaching their academic goal! This is student voice at its finest—setting a WIG, working toward mastery, tracking progress, and having a say in how success is celebrated! 🦅

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who helped make Friday’s Grandparents Day celebration possible! From setting up and serving to welcoming our families, cleaning up, and jumping in wherever needed—you helped us give our grandparents the Five Star experience they deserve! 🍋⭐
