Hello, Eastside Parents! 🐯💙💛
WE MADE IT THROUGH DAY 3! 🎉🙌 And what a day it was!
First, THANK YOU for hanging in there with us as we continue getting our new campus routines running smoothly. We are officially OVER 700 STUDENTS on our roster! 😳🎉📚 People must be hearing about all the great things happening at Eastside and, most importantly, about our AWESOME students! 🐯💙💛 We are so excited to see our Eastside family growing!
🚗 CAR RIDER UPDATE — WE’RE GETTING BETTER! 🚗
Our morning car rider line improved by 20 MINUTES today compared to yesterday! 🎉👏 Our goal is to shave another 10 minutes or so off our current time. It’s definitely a work in progress, but we WILL get there! 💪
A quick reminder about our new morning procedure:
🛑 When you stop at the car rider awning, PLEASE DO NOT UNLOAD YOUR CHILD UNTIL A STAFF MEMBER GIVES YOU THE ALL CLEAR. Cars may still be moving, and this creates a serious safety concern for our students. It makes us VERY nervous! 😬
🚫 Please also do not unload your child before reaching the car rider awning.
⏰ Starting next week, our goal is to close the car rider gate at 7:40 a.m. for anyone who is not already in line. We are excusing tardies this week while everyone gets adjusted, but we will likely begin marking tardies next week.
🏁 DISMISSAL UPDATE! 🏁
We are making HUGE progress! Today, it took only 25 MINUTES from the time we started calling names until our last car rider was loaded and off campus! 🙌🎉
That’s about a 30-MINUTE IMPROVEMENT since DAY 1! 🤯👏
Trust me when I tell you—we are working as quickly as humanly possible to get everyone home! And if you’ve seen me standing out there on that asphalt in this Florida heat…🥵☀️…you KNOW I’m trying to move as fast as I can! 😂
You can help us, too! Please make sure your car rider tag is displayed on your dashboard on the side where I can easily see it. 👀🚗
⭐ ONE MORE IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR TOMORROW! ⭐
Tomorrow will be a special dismissal because our VPK and Kindergarten students will join the afternoon car rider dismissal with our older students! 🧸🎒💙💛
Because this will be their FIRST time participating in dismissal with everyone else, things may move a little slower. Our youngest Tigers will need some extra help getting loaded safely and comfortably. 🐯❤️
So please be patient with us as we work through this new routine together! 🙏
